Gourmet, Locally-Sourced Meals & Drinks in Cozy Surrounds
Carmel Belle is where the locals go: It's an institution. It's delicious. It's unpretentious. The ingredients speak for themselves at Carmel Belle, where poached egg dishes rule the roost at breakfast in Green Eggs & Ham, Roasted Mushroom Melt and Polenta with all the Fixing's. Lunch and dinner share the same menu and feature selections such as a Chicken Cobb Salad, BLT with Avocado, Breakfast Burrito and Chicken Brie Sandwich. Carmel Belle is also a draw for vegan diners with its breakfast Tofu Scramble, 100% plant-based sandwiches, and large array of salads.
Carmel Belle is the only counter-service restaurant in town, and that adds to the friendly, casual and open vibe experienced here. Chef Gullermo Garcia has been with the restaurant for 10 years and runs a highly efficient, clean and friendly open kitchen that produces delicious, wholesome food.

The Owners
Jeff, Chantal and Jaydon Nelson have been in the Monterey area for 20 years. Jeff, originally from Colorado, has been in the restaurant business in some capacity since he was 14 years old, and locally has managed restaurants at Bernardus Lodge, Quail Lodge and Bayonet Black Horse Golf Courses. Chantal, originally from the Netherlands, has been in the hospitality business as long as she can remember and has had a full-service wedding business for the last 13 years. From coordination to decor and flowers she did it all. 17-year-old Jaydon is in high school and enjoys surfing and playing water polo when his parents aren't making him help out at the restaurant. Welcoming our next adventure, we are proud to be the owners of a Carmel institution.
